Role overview

The Confidential Client is seeking a full-time Intake Coordinator (evening shift) to join their behavioral health admissions team in North Little Rock, AR. This position coordinates referrals and admissions for patients, verifies insurance and eligibility, schedules assessments, and provides administrative support to the assessment and nursing teams. This is an on-site, evening position (40 hours/week).

What You’ll Do

• Serve as the primary intake contact for referrals, patients and external clinicians during evening hours.
• Receive and document referrals, gather and verify demographic and insurance information.
• Complete pre-admission screening and schedule patients for assessments with clinical staff.
• Coordinate closely with Nursing and clinical teams to ensure timely, clinically appropriate admissions.
• Enter and maintain accurate statistical and admissions data in hospital information systems.
• Perform insurance verification and assist with basic billing/authorization follow-up as needed.
• Maintain professional, empathetic telephone and in-person interactions with patients, families and referral sources.
• Provide additional clerical support (reports, filing, records requests) to support department workflow.

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Sociology, or a related field preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience with insurance verification/billing preferred.
• Current CPR certification required; CPI training will be offered onsite.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; professional telephone etiquette.
• Ability to assess patient needs during intake calls with sensitivity to behavioral health concerns.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and admitting procedures.
• Solid computer skills and accurate data-entry ability; attention to detail.
• Able to work under frequent interruptions and handle a medium-demand workload with multiple contacts per shift.

• Evenings — full-time (40 hours/week).
• On-site at the Confidential Client facility in North Little Rock, AR (not remote).
