What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an early-career Instructional Systems Designer to support the design and development of Computer-Assisted Instruction (CAI) and Interactive Courseware (ICW) for P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft maintainers. This role contributes to training solutions delivered to the U.S. Navy and allied partners.

• Design, develop, and revise CAI and ICW courseware and lesson materials.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to gather, analyze, and organize technical content.
• Create clear storyboards, scripts, assessments, and instructor/facilitator notes that align with training objectives.
• Coordinate with graphic artists and multimedia developers to integrate multimedia elements.
• Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theory (e.g., ADDIE) to produce effective learning experiences.
• Follow established style guides, standards, and templates to ensure consistency and quality.
• Implement feedback from SMEs, QA, and customers; participate in iterative review and revision cycles.
• Work closely with fellow ISDs and cross-functional team members to meet project schedules and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, English, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in instructional design, technical writing, or content development.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Basic understanding of learning theories and instructional design models such as ADDIE.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.

Location & Work Model

• Primary work location: Orlando, FL (hybrid — virtual and onsite at the Orlando office at the discretion of the Confidential Client Program Manager).
• Remote: No (hybrid flexibility as noted).
• Clearance: None required for this role.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: USD $50,000 – $55,000 per year (Pay transparency statement provided by Confidential Client).
• Confidential Client provides a comprehensive benefits program including healthcare, paid leave, retirement plans, insurance programs, and learning & development assistance. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other lawful factors.
