Role Overview
Confidential Client is hiring for an entry-level Inside Sales / ACES Lending Officer role focused on mortgage lending. This is a hands-on sales position with structured training to prepare you for the SAFE/NMLS exams and a career as a Licensed Lending Officer. The role requires full-time on-site presence with the ability to commute to Irvine, CA.
What You’ll Do
- Complete a comprehensive paid training program covering the loan life cycle, mortgage products and licensing (SAFE/NMLS).
- Make and receive customer calls to qualify leads, present lending options, and move borrowers through the application process.
- Use CRM and loan-processing software to track opportunities, update borrower files, and follow up on pipeline activities.
- Identify and pursue sales opportunities; meet daily/weekly sales activity and performance targets.
- Collaborate with sales leadership, trainers, and cross-functional teams to close loans and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state lending regulations and uphold high ethical standards.
What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals — call center sales strongly preferred.
- Ability to commute to Irvine, CA full-time (this role is not remote).
- Eligible and willing to study for and pass the NMLS exam; able to meet state and national licensing requirements.
- Strong phone presentation skills and the ability to build rapport and confidence with customers over the phone.
- Comfortable with technology and confident using CRM and loan-processing systems.
- Reliable attendance, a coachable attitude, and a customer-first mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base pay during training: $16.90 per hour (paid training).
- Estimated annual compensation (post-training/with incentives): approximately $66,707 per year (estimate; total comp will include bonuses tied to originations and fundings once licensed).
- Monthly per-origination bonus incentives after licensing; licensed Lending Officer compensation includes hourly minimum plus bonus structure based on fundings.
