What You’ll Do
Join our confidential client’s entry-level inside sales program as an ACES Lending Officer-in-training. You’ll complete a structured onboarding and licensing curriculum (SAFE/NMLS prep), work inbound company-provided leads, engage customers by phone, learn the loan life cycle for mortgages and HELOCs, and transition to a licensed lending officer role with bonus opportunities once licensed.
Responsibilities
- Dedicate yourself to a comprehensive training program covering the full loan life cycle and NMLS exam preparation.
- Handle inbound leads and identify sales opportunities via phone outreach and follow-up.
- Build and maintain strong, professional client relationships with a customer-first approach.
- Learn mortgage and HELOC product fundamentals and basic financial concepts.
- Use loan origination and CRM systems; maintain accurate records.
- Manage time effectively to meet targets in a fast-paced sales environment.
- Maintain high ethical standards and comply with licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Accept coaching and collaborate with team leadership to improve performance.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of sales experience with a documented history of meeting or exceeding goals (call-center sales highly preferred).
- Ability to pass the NMLS exam and meet state and national mortgage licensing requirements.
- Must be able to commute to Auburn Hills, MI full-time.
- Strong phone presentation and relationship-building skills.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and willingness to accept feedback and coaching.
- Comfortable using technology and sales/loan processing software.
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base training pay: $15.00 per hour during training (per source).
- Monthly per-origination bonus incentives once licensed; post-training Licensed Lending Officer compensation transitions to an hourly minimum plus a bonus structure based on funded loans (details provided by the employer at that stage).
- Estimated annual compensation (for similar roles) shown in source: approximately $64,165/year (estimate only).
