What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Information Security Analyst I focused on security automation. You will work with senior security engineers and analysts to build and maintain automation that improves threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and security reporting.

• Develop and maintain scripts and automation workflows to improve security operations.
• Automate repetitive security tasks including alert triage, reporting, enrichment, and remediation.
• Support SIEM and SOAR platforms; implement and maintain integrations.
• Create tool integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, and automation frameworks.
• Monitor automated processes, troubleshoot workflow failures, and maintain operational runbooks.
• Build dashboards and reports that surface security metrics and operational insights.
• Support EDR, identity management, email security, and cloud security tooling.
• Contribute automation for incident response (evidence collection, enrichment).
• Participate in security tool testing, upgrades, and implementation projects.
• Maintain documentation for scripts, workflows, and procedures.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Keep current with emerging threats, security technologies, and automation techniques.

Minimum Qualifications

• 0–2 years experience in information security, IT, systems administration, or software development.
• Associate’s degree in a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and security operations.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and JSON.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience or familiarity with:

• SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, CrowdStrike NG SIEM)
• SOAR platforms (e.g., Splunk SOAR, Torq)
• Endpoint Detection and Response (CrowdStrike Falcon, Microsoft Defender)
• Cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
• Git or other version control systems
• Container technologies (Docker)
• Infrastructure-as-Code concepts

Working Conditions & Schedule

• Hybrid role with onsite work required at the Winter Hill office as business needs dictate.
• M-F Eastern business hours required.
• On remote workdays, employees must use a secure, compliant workstation (video-capable) and follow Confidential Client’s remote security policies.
• Work location (primary): 399 Revolution Drive, Winter Hill, MA.
• Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Employee type: Regular. Shift: Day.

Compensation

• Pay Range: $62,836.80 - $89,762.40 per year (base salary). Actual pay offered will consider skills, experience, education, certifications, and other job-related factors. Confidential Client also provides comprehensive benefits and potential bonuses or premiums where applicable.
