Position overview
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Industrial Security Specialist to support document control and security compliance at a cleared facility in Mckinney, TX. This role helps maintain accountability for classified materials, supports the transmission and handling of collateral classified information, and assists the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Document Control Lead with audits, incident investigations, and day-to-day security processes.
What You Will Do
- Support specialized procedures for transmission, handling, and shipping of classified and proprietary material
- Maintain audit and accountability records for classified assets in internal accountability systems
- Investigate security incidents and prepare written reports for the FSO
- Assist internal customers with area custodian coordination, training updates, and pin/combination changes for doors/safes
- Perform courier duties between facilities in North Texas as needed
- Support personnel security tasks on request (e.g., access lists, RCAST, PCLs, visit requests)
Qualifications You Must Have
- U.S. citizenship (required to obtain/maintain U.S. government security clearance)
- Active DoD Top Secret security clearance required (must be maintained from day 1)
- Experience with Microsoft products
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (or an advanced degree) and up to 1 year of relevant experience
- Valid driver’s license
Qualifications We Prefer
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
- Customer-facing experience and ability to multitask
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work collaboratively on a team and adapt to shifting priorities
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to work with minimal supervision
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: USD 57,200 — USD 108,800 per year (good-faith estimate; final offer depends on experience, location, education and other factors)
- Eligible benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, paid time off, holidays, and other programs depending on business unit and employment status
- This position is not eligible for relocation assistance
Location & Clearance Requirements
- Worksite: Onsite at the Confidential Client facility in Mckinney, TX
- U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance are required
- The role may require local travel between facilities for courier or document tasks
