Overview
Confidential Client seeks an entry-level Industrial Security Specialist to support personnel security operations at our McKinney, TX facility. This role supports clearance lifecycle activities, visitor processing, and classified-environment procedures. The position reports to the Local Site Security (LSS) Manager and is primarily onsite.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct indoctrinations and debriefings for DoD accesses
- Verify U.S. citizenship and process personnel clearances
- Manage clearance lifecycle tasks: clearance processing, verification, and cradle‑to‑grave updates
- Submit and track classified visit requests and DISS updates
- Perform fingerprinting and related identity verification activities
- Prepare adverse and reportable submissions per DoD/DCSA guidance
- Provide customer service to employees on personnel security topics (travel reporting, self-reporting, etc.)
- Identify security risks and help implement mitigation measures for industrial security programs
- Cross-train across industrial security disciplines to support team needs in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
You must have:
- Experience using Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook)
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance (Top Secret required)
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and up to 1 year relevant experience (entry-level)
Preferred:
- Degree in Business Management, Security/Risk Management, Government Policy, Information Management, Criminal Justice, or related field
- Familiarity with DCSA processes, DISS, CDSE training (e.g., SFPC) or NCMS Industrial Security Professional Certification (ISP)
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
Location & Clearance Requirements
- Work location: Onsite at McKinney, TX facility
- Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance required (must be able to maintain U.S. government clearance)
- Citizenship: U.S. citizenship required (only U.S. citizens eligible for clearance)
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $57,200 – $108,800 USD per year (good-faith estimate across experience levels)
