What You’ll Do

Confidential client is seeking an entry-level Industrial Security Analyst to support security operations at a secured facility in Newport News, VA. You will help enforce 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM) and internal security policies, manage classified material handling and inventory, administer visitor and personnel access, and support incident investigation and corrective actions.

• Aids in developing, maintaining, and administering security programs and procedures for classified documents and equipment in compliance with 32 CFR Part 117.
• Interpret, apply, and support implementation of federal security regulations.
• Obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for regulatory compliance from government agencies.
• Maintain manuals and procedures for handling, storing, recording, and granting access to restricted materials.
• Manage document control, visitor control, and personnel security functions.
• Provide clear guidance to employees; ensure security concerns and incidents are reported and documented.
• Conduct required security briefings, debriefings, training sessions, and annual refreshers.
• Safeguard classified materials—receiving, controlling, storing, transmitting, packaging, and destruction per government requirements.
• Assist audits of classified materials and inventory accuracy in support of NISPOM compliance.
• Administer and support DISS, NBIS, and Access/Portal Commander activity for personnel security clearances and visit requests.
• Verify and process visit authorization requests (VARs) and maintain visitor control records.
• Investigate and report security incidents; support mitigation and corrective action documentation.
• Maintain records in accordance with the security manual and procedures.

Who You Are / Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 0+ years’ experience, OR High School Diploma (or GED) with ~4 years of relevant experience.
• ACTIVE Secret Security Clearance required at hire.
• Familiar with Department of Defense systems and applications (DISS, NBIS, NISS, SWFT).
• Experience enforcing security policies and procedures in a cleared facility.
• Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., Access Commander) is desired.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated initiative, ability to work independently and within a team, and comfort engaging with diverse personalities.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, ask questions, and improve processes.
• Ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and collaborate on implementation.

Compensation & Benefits

• Anticipated salary range (good-faith estimate): $51,324 — $65,000 per year.
• Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, retirement/savings plans, paid time off, tuition assistance, and other standard benefits. Specific offerings will be determined by the confidential client and the candidate’s experience.
