Role Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an Industrial Hygiene Technician to support occupational health and safety activities at a steel mill site in East Chicago, IN. This full-time role focuses on field sampling, monitoring, and documentation to help maintain regulatory compliance and protect worker health.

- Estimated pay: $41,001 per year (estimated)

Primary Responsibilities
- Perform assigned projects and fieldwork with limited supervision.
- Conduct industrial hygiene sampling including asbestos air monitoring and bulk sampling, general industrial air monitoring, personal noise dosimetry, and environmental sampling.
- Prepare clear, professional technical reports and submit project documentation to the Project Manager daily.
- Maintain professional conduct and ensure any personal licenses/certifications required remain active.
- Accurately record billable time, PTO, and submit daily timesheets for client systems integration.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental science, or related field — preferred but not required.
- Entry-level candidates welcome; experience in industrial hygiene or related field is a plus.
Certifications & Licenses (preferred)
- Asbestos building inspector (preferred)
- Asbestos supervisor (preferred)
- OSHA 30-hour General Industry (preferred)
Skills & Abilities
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; strong written and verbal communication.
- Able to work standard day shift with flexibility for overtime, weekends, or off-hour assignments when needed.
Mobility
- Reliable personal automobile required.
- Must maintain valid driver’s license and personal auto insurance.
