What You’ll Do

This hands‑on Industrial Engineering Technician role supports new product introductions (NPI) and day‑to‑day manufacturing operations at a confidential client in Chicago, IL. You will work closely with engineering and production to improve processes, build fixtures, and support production ramp‑up.

• Support new product launches and engineering changes on the manufacturing floor
• Design and build jigs, fixtures, and manufacturing workstations
• Create and maintain clear work instructions and production documentation
• Build prototypes, mockups, and test samples for validation
• Conduct time studies and assist with production routings and process standardization
• Train production employees on new products, assemblies, and processes
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement efficiency improvements

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on experience with tools and fixtures
• Exposure to manufacturing or assembly environments
• Basic 3D CAD experience — SolidWorks preferred
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Familiarity with NPI, Lean Manufacturing, tooling/fixtures, or time studies is a plus

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract‑to‑Hire, full‑time position based onsite in Chicago, IL. Candidates must be able to work on location at the client’s Chicago facility.

Pay & Benefits

• Pay range: $24.00 – $26.00 per hour (final offer will depend on qualifications, experience, and other job‑related factors)
