Role Summary

Confidential Client is seeking an Industrial Engineer to drive operational excellence within a manufacturing environment. This contract-to-hire, fully onsite role in Tontitown, AR supports the organization's CORE (Customer Oriented Results & Excellence) framework and focuses on data-driven process improvement, waste reduction, capacity analysis, and standardization to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.

What You’ll Do

• Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to eliminate waste and reduce process variation.
• Support deployment and sustainment of CORE methodologies, tools, and standards across the facility.
• Conduct time studies, bottleneck analyses, and capacity modeling to guide prioritization and decision-making.
• Develop and maintain standardized work instructions, visual management, and process documentation.
• Lead root cause analysis and structured problem-solving events; support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Design and recommend workflow, layout, and process changes aligned with operational goals.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, and safety teams to integrate improvements into daily work.
• Track project progress, prepare leadership status updates, and support performance scorecards/dashboards.
• Provide training and coaching to operators and team members on CORE tools and expectations.
• Promote adoption of CORE principles through clear communication and engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Foundational understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes and their impact on safety, quality, and productivity.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts and their application in production settings.
• Proficiency with standard office software and data analysis tools (Excel required).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Effective communicator with ability to work cross-functionally and influence without formal authority.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Preferred / Additional Skills

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience with data analysis tools (VBA, SQL, or similar).
• Experience with workflow/drafting tools (Visio, AutoCAD) and project tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet).
• Understanding of capital project planning and implementation.
• Self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and work with minimal supervision.
• Interest in developing as an entry-level industrial engineer in an aerospace & defense manufacturing environment.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Fully onsite at the client’s manufacturing facility in Tontitown, AR.
• Typical hours: Monday–Friday, approximately 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Office/plant hybrid setting—regular collaboration with production, maintenance, quality, and safety teams.
• Expect hands-on observation, data collection on the floor, and frequent cross-functional meetings.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $26.00 - $26.00 per hour (Contract-to-hire). Individual compensation depends on qualifications and experience.
• If eligible, benefits for temporary assignment may include medical, dental & vision; 401(k); life insurance; disability; HSA; transportation benefits; Employee Assistance Program; and paid time off. Benefits and eligibility are subject to change.
