What You’ll Do
Confidential Client seeks an entry-level Industrial Engineer to support shop-floor operations and continuous improvement initiatives. You will apply classical and Lean Industrial Engineering principles to improve process flow, productivity, and safety across manufacturing and assembly areas.
- Support analysis with area management to establish and maintain daily work activities and standards
- Design and maintain part presentation requirements and procedures with operations, support staff, and material control
- Assist in equipment, machinery, and facilities acquisition analysis, including cost justification and business case support
- Develop and maintain tool box requirements, tool control, and FOD prevention measures
- Use 3D printing capability to create shop aids and other technical solutions
- Provide business-case analysis for make/buy decisions, MCRs, engineering changes, and tooling requests
- Support safety, sustainability, and ergonomic initiatives
- Implement plant layout, process flow, and material handling improvements
- Manage tooling orders/requests and priorities in coordination with area management
- Investigate and support implementation of facilities expansions, new technologies, and manufacturing techniques
- Assist in training and mentoring entry-level industrial engineering personnel
- Contribute to business continuity planning as requested
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field — or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Entry-level position; relevant internships/co-op or demonstrable problem-solving experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma principles
- Ability to read and interpret engineering models and facility layouts
- Comfortable using computers and engineering software (experience with CATIA or similar CAD tools is a plus)
- Familiarity with 3D printing and additive manufacturing use-cases helpful
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
- This role requires fluency in English (read, write, speak, understand)
