Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support continuous improvement and process optimization in a precision manufacturing environment located in Brookfield, WI (53045). This is a full-time role. Estimated pay: $103,769 per year (estimated).


Position Overview

The Industrial Engineer will lead continuous improvement initiatives that improve productivity, quality, operational efficiency, and profitability. You will evaluate manufacturing processes, material flow, and workflows; use data analytics to identify opportunities; and implement sustainable, safety-focused solutions across production operations.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead continuous improvement projects using 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma tools to increase throughput and reduce operating costs
  • Evaluate and optimize manufacturing processes, material flow, and workstation layouts to improve cycle times and reduce waste
  • Use data analytics and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities, measure results, and support data-driven decisions
  • Identify and implement process changes that enhance workplace safety, reduce ergonomic risk, and lower operational hazards
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to design and sustain process improvements
  • Create and maintain process documentation, standard work, and work instructions to ensure repeatability and training readiness

Skills & Competencies

  • Ability to lead continuous improvement and change-management efforts by influencing cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using data to drive recommendations
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles (training or certification preferred)
  • Understanding of material flow, workflow design, process optimization, and ergonomics
  • Effective project management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical information for operators and leadership

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline — or equivalent combination of education and manufacturing experience
  • Experience: Entry-level to early-career candidates with some industrial engineering or manufacturing process-improvement experience are encouraged to apply. Experience in a continuous-improvement manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Licenses/Certificates: Lean/Six Sigma training or certification is preferred but not required
