What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Industrial Engineer (CORE) to drive operational excellence across a manufacturing facility. You will support the Customer Oriented Results & Excellence (CORE) framework by using data-driven problem solving to reduce waste, improve capacity and productivity, and standardize processes.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to eliminate waste and reduce process variation.
- Support rollout and sustainment of CORE methodologies, tools, and standards across production and assembly areas.
- Conduct time studies, bottleneck analyses, and capacity modeling to inform decisions and prioritize projects.
- Develop and maintain standardized work instructions, visual management, and process documentation.
- Lead and participate in structured problem-solving activities (root cause analysis, CI events, performance reviews).
- Analyze operational data to identify trends and opportunities; translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Support layout, workflow, and process design changes that align with CORE and operational goals.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, and safety teams to integrate improvements into daily work.
- Track project progress, prepare status updates for leadership, and help maintain performance scorecards and dashboards.
- Provide training and coaching to operators and team members on CORE tools and expectations to build capability and engagement.
- Drive cultural adoption of CORE through clear communication, engagement, and accountability across teams.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or related field.
- Foundational knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes and their effect on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma concepts and how to apply them in production environments.
- Proficiency with standard office software and basic data analysis tools (Excel).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to organize detailed information into clear insights.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and at multiple organizational levels.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience with Excel advanced features, VBA, SQL or similar data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with workflow mapping and drafting tools (Microsoft Visio, AutoCAD).
- Experience with project management tools (Microsoft Project, Smartsheet).
- Knowledge of capital project planning and implementation.
- Prior exposure to aerospace & defense manufacturing environments is a plus.
Work Environment & Schedule
- This is a fully onsite, Contract-to-Hire position based in Bethel Heights, AR (Confidential Client facility).
- Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (connected to production operations).
- You will work in an engineering office inside a manufacturing facility and collaborate regularly with production teams.
- The role involves office-based analysis work and frequent floor contact to observe processes and lead improvements.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $26.00 per hour (hourly rate reflects the source posting). Final offer will depend on qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors.
