What You’ll Do
Import Transportation Coordinator — Saint Louis, MO (onsite, full-time). As an Import Transportation Coordinator, you will support end-to-end movement of imported goods and help optimize transportation cost, service, and operational efficiency across ocean, drayage, and domestic legs. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals seeking hands-on experience in global supply chain and logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily communication with ocean carriers, drayage providers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with carrier selection, routing, and transportation planning to support cost-effective import movements.
- Maintain transportation rates, routing information, and logistics data in company systems.
- Analyze transportation costs and identify opportunities for process improvements and savings.
- Support freight claim investigations and resolution activities.
- Partner with Accounts Payable to review freight invoices and ensure billing accuracy.
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Customer Service, Finance, and Trade Compliance on import-related initiatives.
- Help resolve shipment delays, service issues, and transportation exceptions.
- Maintain logistics records and support daily shipment processing activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects that enhance supply chain performance and customer service.
Preferred Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, International Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; recent graduates encouraged to apply.
- Internship, coursework, or experience related to supply chain, logistics, transportation, operations, or international business is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with a desire to learn and develop professionally.
- Experience with ERP or transportation systems is beneficial but not required.

Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated salary: $62,581 per year (estimated).

Location & Work Environment
