What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Human Resources Specialist to support HR operations in a federal government contracting environment. This role provides hands-on exposure to onboarding, recruiting, employee records, benefits, HR systems, training, and routine HR administration.
- Assist with day-to-day HR activities and provide professional, responsive administrative support to employees, managers, and the HR team
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes, new-hire paperwork, personnel changes, and maintenance of confidential employee records
- Enter and update employee data in HR and workforce systems; assist with personnel files, reporting, and timesheet follow-up
- Support recruiting tasks: post job openings, screen applications, schedule interviews, communicate with candidates, and help with new-hire processing
- Assist with benefits administration, annual open enrollment support, leave documentation, and employee training logistics
- Support HR policy administration, compliance documentation, performance management activities, employee communications, and special HR projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
- 2–5 years of progressive HR experience preferred, ideally within federal government contracting, professional services, or another regulated environment
- Working knowledge of employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, recruiting, employment practices, and HR compliance requirements
- Experience with Microsoft Office and HRIS/ATS platforms; familiarity with ADP Workforce Now, Unanet, JazzHR, or similar systems is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication, organization, interpersonal, and customer-service skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently, maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and escalate sensitive issues appropriately
- U.S. citizenship required due to contract compliance

Compensation
Pay range (anticipated): $65,000 to $72,800 annually — approximately $31.25 to $35.00 per hour. Final pay offered will comply with applicable state and local pay transparency requirements.
