What You’ll Do
This entry-level Human Resources Coordinator role supports corporate safety, compliance, and employee wellness programs. Working under established procedures and the direction of HR, Safety, and Risk Management subject-matter experts, you will maintain confidential records, track program activity and deadlines, prepare routine reports, support communications, and coordinate with internal teams, field locations, vendors, and employees.
- Maintain confidential safety, risk-management, driver compliance, training, and inspection records.
- Process and track initial and recurring MVR checks, driver credentials, and documentation per established procedures.
- Review MVR reports for defined exceptions and escalate concerns to the HR Generalist (this role does not make employment decisions).
- Support safety and risk-management systems: manage user access, update records, assign training, monitor overdue items, and handle routine troubleshooting.
- Track safety training and compliance deadlines; prepare routine reports and summaries.
- Support safety campaigns, training initiatives, and AED program administration (inventory, orders, records, compliance reviews).
- Administer wellness campaigns and communications; coordinate vendor swag distribution and related logistics.
- Maintain wellness calendar, vendor contacts, program materials, and participation trackers; prepare routine participation summaries.
- Draft routine program communications, monitor shared mailboxes, respond to basic inquiries, and escalate complex or sensitive matters.
- Maintain calendars, trackers, contact lists, and reference materials to support cross-functional program administration.
- Coordinate routine meetings and follow-up with internal stakeholders and vendors.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements; perform other related duties as assigned.
Who We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in HR, business administration, risk management, safety, public health, wellness, or related field preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); intermediate Excel skills preferred.
- Strong organizational ability, attention to detail, time-management, follow-up, and accurate data-entry skills.
- Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion and to work independently while meeting deadlines.
- Comfortable following established procedures and escalation protocols; able to learn HR/safety software, databases, reporting tools, and tracking systems.
- Experience supporting a department or cross-functional program, maintaining records/trackers, using HR/safety/risk-management/LMS platforms, or coordinating events/communications/vendors is a plus.
