Position Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Human Capital Data Analyst to maintain HCMS data integrity, support Human Capital (HC) operations, deliver HC analytics and reporting, and help apply AI tools to improve HR processes. This is a full-time role based in Boston, MA. The position blends hands-on Workday / HCMS administration with data analysis, reporting, and operational support across the HC function.


What You’ll Do

  • Execute accurate, timely data entry and transactional updates in Workday / HCMS (onboarding, terminations, promotions, salary changes, transfers, one-time payments, org changes).
  • Conduct regular system audits to identify and resolve data errors and discrepancies.
  • Maintain clear procedural documentation, quick-reference guides, and training materials for HCMS transactions.
  • Support I-9, E-Verify, and visa-related processes and audits to ensure documentation compliance.
  • Assist payroll validation and perform reconciliations when needed.
  • Manage the HC inbox; respond to routine employee questions on basic HC policies and programs.
  • Complete ad-hoc reporting and data analysis across the HC function, integrating data from multiple systems.
  • Produce presentation-ready materials and summaries of workforce metrics and trends (PowerPoint), leveraging AI tools where appropriate.
  • Participate in HC projects, audits, and continuous process improvement initiatives; recommend efficiency gains in HC operations.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Capital operations, HCMS administration, HC analytics, or related field.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Workday HCMS or comparable HCIS platforms.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with data analysis (academic or on-the-job experience accepted).
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data visualization) and strong PowerPoint abilities.
  • Proficiency across Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements and functional specs is a plus.
  • Professional services experience is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range for this role:

  • Pay Range Minimum: $60,600
  • Pay Range Maximum: $78,800

In addition to the listed salary range, this position is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. Final placement within the range will be determined by skills, experience, and internal equity.
