Overview

Confidential Client is hiring a Project HSE Manager (Heavy Industrial) to join a project team focused on safe, compliant execution of heavy industrial and construction work in Cypress Valley, AR. This role exists at multiple levels (Step I, II, Sr.) to allow progression based on experience and project complexity. The position is full-time, permanent.


What You’ll Do

  • Conduct frequent site safety walks and inspections across the project and adjacent property
  • Deliver site-specific safety orientations for new hires, contractors, and visitors
  • Create, maintain, and facilitate the Project Environmental Management Plan
  • Create, maintain, and facilitate the Project Safety Management Plan
  • Implement and facilitate the client’s Safety Management and Illness Prevention Systems on the project
  • Manage on-site emergencies, incidents, and workers’ compensation matters; lead incident investigations and corrective actions
  • Review, file, and maintain project safety documentation and records
  • Coach and influence field teams to follow safe work practices and regulatory requirements
  • Support subcontractor safety performance and prequalification activities

Estimated salary (posted): $85,007 per year (estimated)


Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of full-time project safety or HSE experience (Step levels reflect increasing responsibility)
  • Preferred certifications (not required): STSC, CHST, ASP, CSP
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (attention to grammar and clarity)
  • High integrity for accurate incident/event reporting and policy adherence
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and common safety software/apps
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is required for this role
  • Vertical construction experience preferred

Physical & Safety Requirements

  • Ability to wear required PPE (steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.)
  • Frequently reach above shoulder heights and below the waist
  • Occasionally stoop, kneel, bend, climb stairs/ladders
  • Regularly use phone, computer, email, and other electronic devices to communicate
  • Frequent interaction with people throughout the workday
  • Occasionally lift, push, or pull objects; may sit, stand, or walk short distances for extended periods
  • This is a safety-sensitive position; duties may include operating or working near equipment or hazardous materials
