Overview & Compensation
This on-site HR Services Representative (HR Data) role is based in Skokie, IL and supports day-to-day HR data administration for a large healthcare organization.
- Hourly pay range: $22.14 - $33.21 per hour
- Employment type: Full Time (40 hours/week)
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Location: On-site in Skokie, IL (travel to other client locations may be required)
What You’ll Do
This is an entry-level operational HR data role focused on accurate maintenance and integrity of employee and contingent workforce records.
- Process routine employee and non-employee data transactions in the HRIS and related systems
- Enter, update, and maintain workforce information following established data standards
- Review transactions and supporting documentation for completeness and approvals
- Identify and resolve missing, incomplete, or inconsistent information with HR partners
- Maintain accurate electronic records and documentation
- Follow data entry standards and procedures to promote consistency and integrity
- Assist with routine data corrections, record updates and HR system testing
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately
Key Responsibilities — Data Quality, Auditing & Compliance
- Perform routine audits and validation activities to surface data issues
- Research discrepancies and assist with corrections in HR systems
- Support reconciliations, cleanup activities, and documentation for audits
- Follow HR data governance, privacy, and records management requirements
- Escalate recurring errors, compliance concerns, or systemic data issues
- Help monitor data quality measures and recommend improvements
Key Responsibilities — Contingent Workforce Administration
- Administer contingent workforce records (agency staff, contractors, travelers, etc.)
- Enter and maintain contingent worker information and required documentation
- Support onboarding, updates, extensions, transfers, and offboarding
- Monitor expiring or missing information and coordinate follow-up
- Assist with audits and reconciliation of contingent workforce data
Service & Operational Support
- Respond to routine questions about HR data, employee records, and processes
- Provide timely, professional service to employees, managers, and HR partners
- Research routine issues and escalate complex situations as needed
- Follow established workflows, service standards, and escalation procedures
- Participate in HR data projects, process changes, and training initiatives
- Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve processes and service delivery
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s/Bachelor’s in HR, Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or related field preferred
- Experience: 1+ year in HR, data entry, administrative support, customer service, healthcare administration, or similar role requiring accurate handling of confidential data
- Experience using HRIS, electronic records, or enterprise systems preferred
- Preferred experience in healthcare or other regulated environments
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to enter, review, and maintain data efficiently
- Basic understanding of data quality principles
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Customer-service orientation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow policies, procedures, and data standards
- Self-motivated with good escalation judgment
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Ability to work in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
