Role Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an HR Benefits & Operations Coordinator (the Americas) to support the SVP of HR and the Director of Compensation & Benefits. This role combines benefits administration, HRIS data management (Oracle), entry-level recruitment support, temporary staffing coordination, policy and audit support, and other HR operations across the Americas.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary contact for benefits vendors (medical, dental, life, voluntary plans) and coordinate benefits renewals, open enrollment communications, trainings, and employee inquiries.
  • Liaise between benefits and payroll; perform monthly benefits audits to ensure enrollments flow correctly to payroll.
  • Review and process benefits invoices, allocate to cost centers, and route to Accounts Payable.
  • Support COBRA administration, FSA testing, EPLI and Workers’ Comp renewals and incident handling.
  • Maintain benefits information across multiple countries/entities and ensure employee materials are updated for plan changes.
  • Own HRIS/Oracle data maintenance: timely, accurate entry of hires, terminations, transitions, and act as a point-person for HRIS data questions.
  • Assist with entry-level recruitment and coordination (postings, interviews, hiring logistics) and manage temporary/contract hiring; track costs against budget with the compensation team.
  • Provide information and documentation for internal and external financial audits and renewals.
  • Support HR policy updates, employee handbook maintenance, and ensure required Labor Law posters are current and compliant.
  • Handle ad-hoc HR operations projects (offer letter template updates, DocuSign notices, reference checks) and support data privacy initiatives.
  • Coordinate employee programs and events (anniversary recognitions, wellness fair, flu shots, uniform distribution) as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required.
  • 1+ year of relevant HR/coordination experience.
  • Advanced Excel skills; strong comfort with numbers and data accuracy.
  • Experience with HRIS (Oracle preferred) and strong data-entry / data-maintenance discipline.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and consistently follow through on details and deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; strong customer-service orientation.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Experience in a medium-sized multinational or luxury retail environment is a plus.
  • Additional language fluency is advantageous.
  • Highly adaptable, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment — “no task too big or too small” mindset.

Compensation

  • For postings subject to New York City pay transparency rules: estimated base salary range for this role is $55,000–$65,000 per year. This range does not include other forms of compensation or benefits (bonuses, health insurance, retirement savings, paid leave, etc.), which will be communicated during the interview or offer stage.
