Why this role

Confidential Client is hiring an HR Coordinator to support the Erwin Manufacturing Complex site. This is a hands-on HR role that provides exposure across the full employee lifecycle in a manufacturing environment — talent acquisition, onboarding, employee services, leave & benefits, compliance, HR systems, and people analytics. You’ll be the local people partner employees turn to and a visible contributor to site-level HR decisions and improvements.

What You’ll Do

  • Be the site’s first call for employee services — handle HR transactions, personnel records and employee questions in partnership with HR shared services.
  • Own local HR systems usage and support (HCM, time & attendance, staffing/recruiting platforms); training provided.
  • Coordinate hiring and onboarding for hourly and salaried employees — offers, compliance paperwork, orientation and announcements.
  • Partner with the Plant HR Manager to ensure the site has the right talent to meet operational goals.
  • Build and present HR analytics (headcount, workforce trends, recognition) to site and division leadership.
  • Identify manual processes to improve or automate; responsibly use AI tools and PowerBI to increase HR efficiency.
  • Partner with site Medical and benefits teams to manage workers’ compensation, FMLA and disability cases accurately and compassionately.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable employment laws and help implement global HR processes locally.
  • Lead local HR initiatives (attendance programs, training, employee communications) and help run surveys/focus groups to strengthen site culture.

What You’ll Bring

  • A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Psychology or related field — or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year of HR or administrative experience (internships, co-ops and campus roles count).
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills; comfort working with data to draw and explain conclusions.
  • Sound judgement and discretion with confidential employee information.
  • Approachable, responsive communication — able to build trust with frontline employees and site leaders.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with PowerBI, Access, or other reporting tools.
  • Practical experience using AI tools to streamline or automate HR processes.
  • Exposure to HRIS / HCM systems, leave administration, or manufacturing environments.
  • A process-improvement mindset (Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement).
  • Basic business and financial acumen.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $51,491 - $70,801 per year (full-time). Starting pay is based on job-related factors including location, experience, training and education.
  • Benefits highlights: medical/dental/vision, paid parental leave, family-building support, company-paid life insurance, disability coverage, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), paid time off, company-wide bonuses and long-term incentives, a 100% company-paid pension contribution plus 401(k) matching (total retirement contributions vary by age and service).
  • This role does not support immigration sponsorship.

Location & Eligibility

  • Location: Painted Post, NY, USA (Erwin Manufacturing Complex).
  • This role is site-based (not remote). Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Why join

This role provides a full-cycle HR foundation, visibility with site and division leaders, modern HR skill-building (people analytics, HR tech, responsible AI use), and clear pathways into HR Business Partner, Talent Acquisition, People Analytics or HR Operations roles. Mentorship and professional development resources are available through the site HR team and the client’s global learning programs.
