What You’ll Do

Confidential Client seeks a Technology Consulting Consultant to join their Houston team. You will work on client engagements to diagnose business and technology needs, deliver high-quality recommendations, and support implementation. Typical responsibilities include:

• Collaborate with engagement teams to deliver client-focused solutions across technology and business process areas
• Collect, compile, and analyze client data; document findings and present actionable insights
• Support project activities including requirements, testing, data migration, and technical design documentation
• Assist in risk assessments, control testing, vulnerability remediation, or privacy reviews depending on project scope
• Apply analytics and basic machine learning techniques to produce dashboards and data-driven recommendations
• Use productivity and AI-powered tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GenAI) to accelerate analysis and client deliverables
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Contribute to team knowledge-sharing, mentoring, and continuous improvement

Technology Consulting consultants at Confidential Client typically rotate through capability areas; you may be assigned to one or more of the following:

• Business Platform Transformation (applications, cloud, program execution)
• Enterprise Data, Analytics & AI (data engineering, governance, visualization, ML)
• Microsoft-focused solutions (SharePoint, M365, Power Platform, Dynamics)
• Security & Privacy (assessments, testing, incident readiness, privacy services)
• Technology Risk & Resilience (risk frameworks, third-party risk, operational resilience)
• Technology Strategy & Architecture (enterprise architecture and IT strategy)

Where You’ll Work

This is a full-time role based in Houston, TX, supporting a hybrid work model (combining in-office, client-site, and remote work depending on client and project needs). Local and occasional out-of-state travel may be required based on client engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Applied Math, or related technology discipline
• Authorization to work in the U.S. now and in the future without sponsorship
• Experience using AI-powered productivity or collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GenAI)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Technical proficiency relevant to assigned capability area (examples below)
• Ability to apply critical thinking and creative problem solving on client engagements

Preferred technical experience (entry-to-early level):

• Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, BusinessObjects, Cognos, Qlik, or SSRS
• SQL and relational database experience (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Teradata, etc.)
• Familiarity with Python, Java, JavaScript or similar programming languages
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts (authentication, entitlements, encryption, least privilege)
• Foundational knowledge of ERP systems and implementations (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Workday)
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern customer technology environments
• Experience with data preparation/cleaning for analytics or automation use cases

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $70,000.00 - $87,000.00 (range is dependent on experience, skills, and geographic work location)
• Bonus target: $2,000 (annual)
• Estimated total cash range: $72,000.00 - $89,000.00
• Benefits (for eligible employees) include medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, life and disability insurance, parental leave (up to 10 weeks), adoption & fertility assistance, 401(k) with employer match, paid holidays, and Choice Time Off (CTO). Details and eligibility vary by role and location.
