Key Responsibilities of the Hotel Data Analyst Manager
The Confidential Client is seeking a hands-on data analyst/manager to turn hospitality data into actionable insights for operations, revenue, and guest experience. You will partner with finance, operations, sales, marketing, and leadership to deliver reliable reporting and data-driven recommendations.
- Track core hospitality KPIs including Occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, TrevPAR, departmental revenue, and overtime metrics
- Design, build, and maintain automated dashboards and visual reports for department heads and executive leadership
- Extract, clean, and validate data from PMS, POS, and other property systems to ensure data quality and integrity
- Analyze labor efficiency, payroll variances, and departmental expenses versus forecasts
- Combine guest feedback and post-stay survey data with operational metrics to identify service improvements
- Support budgeting, pricing strategy, and revenue forecasting with actionable data insights
- Translate complex analyses into concise recommendations and presentations for non-technical leaders
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in data analysis, BI, or financial reporting (hospitality experience is a strong plus)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Hands-on experience with SQL and dynamic database querying
- Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Familiarity with property management systems (PMS) and point of sale (POS) systems preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to present complex data clearly to leadership
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
- Experience applying AI tools to support data analysis is a plus

- Hybrid work model based in Town of New Paltz, NY; some on-site presence required
- 2+ years relevant work experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Hospitality background strongly preferred
Compensation & Location
- $92,000 package, DOE
- Hybrid schedule based in Town of New Paltz, NY. Approximately one hour to NYC / Connecticut by car or train from some locations.
