Role Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an Entry Level Highway Engineer to join their Baltimore, MD team. This early-career civil engineering role supports the planning and design of transportation projects including highways, pedestrian and bicycle facilities, and transit improvements. Work will involve geometric alignment development, construction plan preparation, specifications, cost estimates, and technical report development while supporting senior project engineers.


What You’ll Do

  • Support senior project engineers on transportation and highway design projects
  • Develop geometric alignments and prepare construction plans
  • Produce specifications and cost estimates
  • Contribute to technical reports and project documentation
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and assist during project phases
  • Use design software and standard office tools to complete assigned tasks

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited)
  • Relevant internship or entry-level experience in transportation engineering
  • Strong oral and written communication skills at all levels of the organization
  • Comfortable working both independently and on team-based assignments
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
  • Experience with MicroStation, OpenRoads, and/or AutoCAD preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred

  • Estimated salary range: $70,000 — $125,000 annually (good-faith estimate; final offer depends on experience and qualifications)
