Position overview
Confidential Client is seeking a dedicated High School Social Studies Teacher to deliver engaging instruction that supports students’ intellectual, social, and emotional growth. This role requires planning and delivering standards-aligned lessons, managing classroom behavior, and collaborating with school staff to support student success.
What You’ll Do
- Plan and deliver high-quality Social Studies instruction aligned to district and state standards for grades 9–12.
- Create lesson plans that build critical thinking, reading, writing, and civic skills.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction based on data.
- Maintain a positive, well-managed classroom environment that supports student learning and safety.
- Communicate with families, counselors, and administrators regarding student progress and needs.
- Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives as required.
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for the assigned subject and level.
- Demonstrated competency in Social Studies content for the assigned grade level.
- At least one year of student teaching or an approved internship.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred / Additional skills
- Knowledge of curriculum development and modern instructional practices.
- Experience using formative and summative assessments to drive instruction.
- Classroom management skills and experience supporting diverse learners.
- Familiarity with technology for instruction and student tracking.
- Commitment to equity and culturally responsive teaching practices.
Compensation & location
- Location: Hutto, TX (on-site).
- Estimated salary: $53,171 per year — estimated (source data). Exact pay and benefits will be determined by the Confidential Client’s pay scales and local policies.

- Employment Type: Full-time (contract/renewable as applicable).
- Start: As defined by the Confidential Client; occasional extracurricular or campus duties may apply.
