Position summary
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Help Desk Support Analyst to provide Tier I/Tier II desktop support for Operational Medical Systems at Ft. Detrick, supporting Defense Health Agency (OPMED) operations. This is an on-site role in Frederick, MD with a relocation incentive available.
What You’ll Do
Provide hands-on technical support to end users, maintain desktop systems, and help keep mission-critical healthcare IT operations running.
- Respond to service requests and incident tickets using the organization’s ticketing system.
- Provide Tier I and Tier II troubleshooting for hardware, software, peripherals, and network connectivity.
- Install, configure, relocate, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and related peripherals.
- Support Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft Office 365, and common desktop applications.
- Perform account management and system access support.
- Assist with workstation deployments, equipment refreshes, hardware replacements, and software installs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of issues, configurations, and resolutions.
- Coordinate with other IT teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Perform physical tasks as required (lifting, transporting, installing equipment).
Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- U.S. Citizen (required).
- Active Secret (T3) security clearance OR ability to obtain and maintain required clearance.
- IAT Level I certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/8140 (CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ CE, etc.).
- 1+ years’ experience in Help Desk/Service Desk or enterprise technical support.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows desktop/laptop support and Microsoft Office 365.
- Experience troubleshooting hardware, software, peripherals, printers, and network connectivity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer-service orientation.
- Eagerness to learn and build a long-term IT career.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, or related field.
- Experience supporting DoD or regulated government IT environments.
- Experience supporting VIP/senior leadership users or mission-critical systems.
- Demonstrated independent problem solving and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Location & Clearance
- Location: Frederick, MD (on-site at Ft. Detrick).
- Employment Type: Full-time, non-remote. Relocation incentive available.
- Clearance: Secret (T3) required or ability to obtain/maintain.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range (as listed): USD 50,000 – USD 65,000 per year.
