What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a Healthcare Data Analyst (Specialty Pharmacy) to investigate, clean, and improve clinical and operational data used across specialty pharmacy and related patient-support programs. The role partners closely with clients, internal technical teams, and operations to resolve data exceptions, implement technical business rules, and improve data quality.

  • Research and resolve data exceptions, validation issues, discrepancies, and escalations for batch and API traffic
  • Communicate directly with clients and internal technical teams to explain issues and coordinate resolutions
  • Create, manage, and refine datasets, technical rules, and validation logic across multiple products
  • Analyze, clean, organize, and validate complex healthcare data to support program operations
  • Identify trends, patterns, and potential data-quality risks; recommend remediation steps
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to identify root cause and implement fixes
  • Document and maintain business and functional requirements, runbooks, and data mappings
  • Identify process improvements to increase data accuracy and operational efficiency
  • Manage multiple projects, priorities, and client deliverables concurrently
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, privacy, security, and program requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Previous professional experience within the healthcare industry is required
  • Prior experience in specialty pharmacy, pharmaceutical services, patient support programs, reimbursement services, or healthcare hub services is required
  • Experience working with healthcare data, system integrations, operations, or workflows
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and interpreting complex data
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis techniques
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and quality
  • Experience investigating and resolving data discrepancies or exceptions
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working directly with clients and technical teams
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
  • Familiarity with HIPAA and handling protected or confidential healthcare information
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship
  • Must be able to work on a W2 basis

Preferred Technical Skills

  • SQL or similar database querying experience
  • Experience working with APIs and monitoring API traffic
  • Familiarity with Postman, SoapUI, or similar API testing tools
  • Experience troubleshooting batch data or system integrations, including EDI transactions
  • Experience with rules engines or technical business rules

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate combines hands-on healthcare industry knowledge with strong data analysis and operational problem-solving skills. They are comfortable digging into complex datasets to identify root cause, articulating technical or business impacts to clients, and driving timely resolutions while managing multiple priorities. Experience supporting specialty pharmacy, patient access, reimbursement, or hub services focused on helping patients start and remain on therapy is highly valuable.


Compensation & Employment Details

  • Compensation: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour (W2)
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • W2 contract position
  • No sponsorship available now or in the future
  • Flexibility regarding working hours may be required
  • Occasional travel may be required
