What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Health Technician (Telehealth Clinical) to support virtual clinical encounters and telehealth operations. In this role you will:
- Prepare, initiate, and support telehealth visits (video-to-home, clinic-to-clinic, store-and-forward)
- Set up and test audio/video equipment and telehealth peripherals; troubleshoot or escalate connectivity/equipment issues
- Assist clinicians during virtual encounters and ensure smooth workflows
- Document telehealth encounters and clinical data in electronic health records (EHRs) and review orders
- Provide patient education on telehealth technology, privacy practices, and basic troubleshooting steps
- Collaborate with clinical teams, technical support, and administrative staff to improve telehealth processes
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must meet the following basic requirements (per client policy):
- United States Citizenship (required by the client)
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- One year of experience in a health care field that demonstrates ability to perform the work (examples: medical/clinical assistant or health technician)
- OR four academic years above high school leading to a bachelor’s degree with relevant coursework
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience (examples: 6 months healthcare experience + 2 years post-high-school education including at least 6 semester hours in healthcare-related courses; or an associate degree in a healthcare field; or military-trained medical service specialist/hospital corpsman)
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA):
- Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems and common programs
- Ability to communicate, consult, and interact with members of the healthcare team and patients
- Ability to follow, interpret, and apply complex written instructions and clinical policies
- Ability to plan, organize, set priorities, and work effectively in a team environment
- Skilled in use of telehealth technologies to facilitate clinical encounters
Preferred Experience
- Customer service with patience, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity (Veteran-centered approach preferred)
- Troubleshooting connectivity, AV, equipment, and workflow issues and escalating when appropriate
- Patient education related to telehealth procedures and device use
- Experience documenting in Electronic Health Records (EHRs) such as CPRS/VISTA or equivalent systems
- Familiarity with telehealth operations and workflows across settings
Compensation & Schedule
- Salary: $57,934 - $75,314 per year (Confidential Client)
- Employment type: Full time
