What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Health Tech (Telehealth Clinic) to support telehealth clinical encounters and patient-facing telehealth operations in La Crosse, WI. This role focuses on preparing telehealth exam rooms, connecting patients and providers via video conference, maintaining telehealth equipment, and documenting clinical information in electronic medical records.
- Schedule telehealth appointments using an electronic scheduling system
- Prepare telehealth rooms and ready equipment for examinations
- Establish and manage secure video conferencing connections between patient site and provider site
- Obtain and document patient history and pertinent clinical information in electronic medical records
- Monitor and maintain electronic schedules for rooms, patients, technologies, and presenters
- Administer patient satisfaction surveys and assist with patient experience follow-up
- Perform routine cleaning and minor maintenance of telehealth technology
- Provide technical guidance to clinical staff and patients during telehealth visits
- Support tracking and reporting of telehealth encounters and related workflows
Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate that they meet one of the following pathways. Evidence (transcripts, employment dates/hours, or other documentation) must be provided in your application.
- U.S. Citizenship required
- English language proficiency (spoken and written)
- Experience pathway: 1 year of experience in a health care field (for example, medical/clinical assistant, health technician)
- Education pathway: Four academic years above high school leading to a bachelor’s degree with relevant coursework (medical terminology, anatomy & physiology, health records, etc.) — transcripts required
- Combination pathway: Equivalent combinations of education and experience (transcripts required)
- Alternate pathway: 6 months health-care experience + 2 years post-high-school education including 6 semester hours in health-related courses; OR an associate degree in a health-related field; OR 6 months experience + completion of applicable U.S. Armed Forces medical technician course
Grade and experience guidance:
- GS-05: Entry level — meets basic requirements
- GS-06: Full performance level — at least one year of experience equivalent to GS-05 or federal experience that demonstrates required knowledge, skills, and abilities
Physical requirements:
- Prolonged standing, bending, reaching, crouching, stooping, stretching, and occasional lifting of moderately heavy items
- Above-average agility and dexterity required
Skills & Abilities
- Comprehensive knowledge of computer systems and software required for scheduling and electronic medical records
- Skilled in using telehealth technologies and troubleshooting basic technical issues
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with clinical teams and patients
- Ability to read, interpret, and follow complex written instructions, policies, and clinical procedures
- Effective organizational skills, ability to set priorities and complete assignments as part of a team
Compensation & Schedule
- Employment type: Full time
- Salary range: $40,736 - $59,031 per year (provided by Confidential Client)
- Location: La Crosse, Wisconsin (WI)
- Work schedule may include prolonged standing and physical tasks as described above
