About the Role

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Health and Safety Technician to support on-site occupational health and safety programs with a primary focus on Industrial Hygiene. Reporting to the Senior Industrial Hygienist, you will gain hands-on experience in field sampling, equipment preparation and calibration, data and records management, regulatory compliance support, and cross-functional coordination. This role begins with structured training and advances toward independent ownership of assigned tasks with appropriate escalation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support exposure monitoring and hazard evaluation through workplace exposure monitoring, IH surveys, health hazard assessments, inspections, and audits.
• Prepare and manage sampling equipment and supplies—set up, calibrate, maintain, and track instrumentation.
• Collect, document, and coordinate samples; maintain chain-of-custody, coordinate laboratory analysis, and perform local driving to ship samples as needed.
• Maintain accurate monitoring data, reports, databases, metrics, and training records with attention to data integrity.
• Assist with site safety programs, contractor safety activities, regulatory compliance, corrective-action tracking, and continuous-improvement projects.
• Plan and communicate field activities with Industrial Hygiene, Safety, Medical, supervisors, employees, and laboratories; take accountability for assigned work and escalate issues when appropriate.

What You Bring

• Relevant technical education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Entry-level experience or intentional interest: up to 2 years in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, EHS, laboratory, safety, or related settings; internships, co-ops, coursework, or projects count.
• Safety-minded readiness for plant and field work in a large industrial environment.
• Working proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; comfort organizing and checking numeric data (Excel especially important).
• Organized, dependable, and collaborative work style with good written and verbal communication.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to perform local driving for sample shipment or equipment transport.
