What You’ll Do

This role supports the Research, Evaluation & Strategy (RES) and Center for Community Impact (CCI) teams to measure program impact, improve reporting, and inform organizational decisions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyze output, outcome, and impact data across program initiatives and produce clear, actionable reports for diverse audiences (program teams, operations, finance, fund development, and leadership).
  • Develop and refine logic models, theories of change, evaluation frameworks, and KPIs to support program evaluation and impact measurement.
  • Design evaluation plans: select indicators, define measurement strategies, and document data collection protocols.
  • Maintain and manage program surveys in Qualtrics — ensure strong question design, branching logic, accessibility, piloting, and documentation.
  • Produce survey reports and organizational summaries that synthesize findings into insights for strategic planning and program improvement.
  • Deliver ad hoc analyses and executive‑level briefs with rigor, clarity, and timeliness to inform decision-making.
  • Perform routine data quality checks across program databases and third‑party applications (e.g., swim‑tracking), identify issues, and collaborate with staff to resolve them.
  • Maintain and update reporting guides, data dictionaries, and documentation to ensure consistent collection and interpretation across teams.
  • Support data visualization and dashboarding efforts (Tableau preferred) and be a go‑to resource for data accuracy, integrity, and visualization.
  • Collaborate across program teams to build evaluation capacity, participate in trainings, and support organizational learning.
  • Assist with maintenance of organizational charts and similar operational documentation in Excel and Visio.
  • Other duties as assigned to support research, evaluation, and continuous improvement efforts.

What We’re Looking For

Minimum qualifications, skills, and attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant technical diploma, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in data analysis, program evaluation, or related research roles.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills — advanced Excel required; familiarity with Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Experience with survey platforms (Qualtrics preferred) and survey design best practices.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau preferred) and translating analysis into clear visuals.
  • Comfortable learning new data systems, databases, and productivity tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize complex findings for non‑technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize competing deliverables.
  • Cultural competence and experience working with diverse communities and stakeholders.
  • Openness to feedback and commitment to quality control and documentation.
  • This is a hybrid/onsite role based in the client’s Manhattan office; ability to work onsite as required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range (as listed by the client): $75,000 - $80,000 (annual).
  • Benefits may include retirement plans, medical/health benefits, paid time off, and complimentary local membership — eligibility and specific benefit offerings depend on employment status (full‑time vs part‑time), tenure, and hours scheduled.
