Primary Responsibilities

The Grants Analyst will support the grants team to ensure timely, compliant grant administration in the area of Substance Abuse Prevention.

• Assist in researching and identifying potential grant funding opportunities.
• Support preparation and submission of grant applications and proposals.
• Review and process financial data related to active grants, ensuring compliance with grant guidelines.
• Maintain records of grant applications, awards, budgets, and status reports in the grants management database.
• Prepare routine reports on grant performance, budget compliance, and timelines.
• Assist with preparation of budget proposals and financial documentation for grant submissions.
• Perform administrative duties to support the grants team and vendor billing processes.

Special Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Limited travel required — may include in-state and occasional out-of-state travel.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in grant management.
• 2 years' experience in Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs (ATOD) prevention programs.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis.
• Familiarity with purchase orders, credit memos, and data entry.
• Extreme attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills to resolve vendor or client discrepancies.
• Good communication and customer service skills for handling billing and inquiries.
• Strong organizational skills to manage high-volume deadlines.

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic understanding of grant management processes and federal/state grant compliance.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret funding guidelines and financial data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel emphasis).
• Ability to maintain accurate records and produce routine compliance reports.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, accounting, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in grants management or related administrative support roles.
• Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted as allowed by the qualifications review process.
