Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Graduate Structural Engineer (Power) to join an early-career EDGE rotational program based in Loch Alpine, MI. This multi-year rotation exposes you to 3–4 roles across different business areas (including a field assignment) to accelerate professional growth through hands-on experience and mentorship. Relocation support is available; visa sponsorship is not.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

  • Develop familiarity with departmental design guides, engineering codes, standards, and company procedures
  • Support the company quality and continuous improvement programs
  • Contribute to preparation of engineering deliverables such as drawings, reports, specifications, and limited-scope studies
  • Perform routine research and recommend equipment or material selections
  • Collect, organize, and manage project data and prepare basic engineering calculations using standard methods
  • Follow budget, schedule, and quality requirements and coordinate with project teams as directed
  • Support client-focused project work and may assist with business development/pursuit activities
  • Share current knowledge of relevant technologies and processes

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred non-technical skills:

  • Learning on the fly and problem solving
  • Intellectual horsepower and drive for results
  • Clear written communication, listening, and informing
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity

Preferred technical skills:

  • Basic understanding of engineering design principles and applicable discipline standards
  • Awareness of industry trends and construction/constructability practices
  • Familiarity with quality programs and standard engineering analysis methods

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program
  • Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding (which may include background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records review) in compliance with applicable laws
  • Relocation eligible to Loch Alpine, MI; visa sponsorship not available

  • Full-time position with hybrid/flexible work options possibly available after 90 days, based on manager discretion and job assignments
