What You’ll Do
You will join a US-based engineering team working on embedded software for aerospace and related systems. Typical responsibilities include:
- Develop, test and maintain embedded software using C and C++ for real-time systems
- Implement and validate algorithms or models created in MATLAB
- Write automation and system-level Python scripts for testing and tools
- Design and debug threaded and concurrent software components
- Integrate and validate software over common communication protocols
- Participate in the full Software Engineering Lifecycle: design, code, unit test, integration test, and documentation
- Create and maintain automated tests for your code and support continuous integration
- Collaborate with systems engineers, test engineers and cross-functional teams to resolve root-cause issues
- Produce clear technical documentation and present technical findings to stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
Minimum qualifications (required):
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer Engineering or similar
- Entry-level / Graduate candidate with internship or academic project experience in embedded development
- Strong programming skills in C and/or C++
- Working knowledge of MATLAB (scripting/modeling)
- Proficiency in Python for automation or tooling
- Understanding of threaded programming and concurrent design
- Familiarity with software engineering lifecycle and version control (e.g., Git)
- Strong problem-solving skills and disciplined approach to testing your work
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Important legal/clearance requirement:
- This role is ITAR-controlled — only U.S. Citizens are eligible to apply. Candidates must be able to pass any required background screening.
Preferred Skills & Nice-to-Haves
- Experience or coursework in aerospace or systems engineering
- Familiarity with C# / .NET (added advantage)
- Experience with communication protocols (e.g., CAN, UART, SPI, Ethernet)
- Knowledge of system architecture and automation for test systems
- Prior hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks and CI pipelines
Location & Logistics
- Work location: Plano, TX (on-site or as specified by the client). This is an on-location, US-based position consistent with ITAR requirements.
