Position overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Graduate Resident Nurse for a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit in Burlington, MA (36 hours, day/night rotation). This role is part of a Nurse Residency program and provides supervised, hands-on patient care while you develop clinical skills and unit-specific competencies.


What You’ll Do

The Graduate Resident Nurse will work under the supervision of a registered nurse and a Nurse Leader to deliver safe, compassionate patient care in a medical–surgical telemetry setting.

  • Provide direct patient care using the nursing process and unit-specific competencies
  • Participate in a structured Nurse Residency Program during your first year
  • Work 12-hour shifts in a day/night rotation (36 hours per pay period schedule)
  • Support patient assessments, documentation, medication administration (per policy), and basic clinical procedures within your scope
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
  • Complete required training, evaluations, and competency checks as scheduled by Nurse Leadership
  • Participate in every-other-weekend and holiday rotation commitments

Minimum qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited 2–4 year School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • Current license to practice professional nursing from the Massachusetts Board of Registration — OR graduating nursing students must provide NCLEX registration documentation when eligible
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain as required)
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate web-based applications
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. with frequent lifting/carrying of items up to 25 lbs.
  • 0–1 year of related work experience (entry-level/new graduate)

Preferred

  • BSN degree
  • Clinical exposure to medical–surgical or telemetry care during education or clinical rotations
  • Experience working with electronic health records

Schedule & Compensation

  • Full-time, non-exempt
  • 12-hour shifts, day/night rotation; 36 hours per schedule cycle
  • Every-other-weekend and holiday rotation required
  • Base pay: $37.00 per hour (listed range: $37.00–$37.00). Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, shift differentials, and other applicable pay practices.
