What You’ll Do
This is an entry-level Graduate Resident Nurse role supporting a medical‑surgical neurology unit on a 36‑hour rotating day/night schedule. You will deliver direct patient care under RN supervision, participate in a Nurse Residency Program during your first year, and develop clinical judgment and professional skills through guided training and practice.
- Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care under supervision
- Participate in a structured Nurse Residency Program with clinical and educational time
- Conduct systematic patient and family assessments and develop culturally competent plans of care
- Administer medications and treatments and evaluate patient responses
- Educate patients and families about illness, treatment and prevention
- Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members and direct assistive personnel when appropriate
- Maintain documentation and comply with unit policies, regulatory requirements and quality improvement activities

- Demonstrate clinical judgment consistent with patient needs and unit standards
- Deliver age-appropriate care and adapt plans based on patient/family response
- Uphold professional relationships — communicate effectively with patients, families, nurses, physicians and other clinical staff
- Support a learning environment consistent with novice-to-expert development models
- Demonstrate evidence-based practice and a commitment to lifelong learning
- Maintain mandatory education, emergency skills and unit‑based competencies
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives and regulatory readiness activities
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to organizational standards of behavior and policy
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of a state‑approved and/or accredited School of Nursing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current license to practice professional nursing from the Massachusetts Board of Registration — graduating students must provide NCLEX registration documentation when eligible
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate
- 0–1 years related work experience required
- Basic computer skills and comfort with web-based applications
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to work effectively on a clinical team
Compensation, Schedule & Location
- Pay range: $37.00 per hour (base hourly rate). Actual compensation may vary based on experience, certifications, shift differentials, overtime and other factors permitted by law.
- Schedule: 36‑hour rotating day/night schedule (per job title)
- Employment type: Full‑time
- Work location: Burlington, MA (on-site)
