What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Graduate Resident Nurse to join a Medical-Surgical / Hematology-Oncology inpatient team on nights. This is a Nurse Residency role designed to support new graduates through supervised clinical practice, structured learning, mentorship, and competency evaluation.

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of an experienced Registered Nurse.
• Participate in a Nurse Residency Program (combination of clinical and educational time during year one).
• Complete systematic patient and family assessments and develop culturally competent plans of care.
• Safely administer medications and treatments; coordinate care and direct assistive personnel when appropriate.
• Deliver age-appropriate, evidence-based nursing care and evaluate patient responses to interventions.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members; act as a patient advocate.
• Maintain regulatory and unit-specific competencies; participate in quality improvement and mandatory education.

• Burlington, MA (01805)
• Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Every-other-weekend and holiday rotation required

Key Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe, organized delivery of patient-centered care for assigned patients/families.
• Apply clinical judgment to assess needs, set priorities, and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Build therapeutic relationships using principles of caring and patient-family partnership.
• Support a learning environment and contribute to team-based care using Novice-to-Expert/EBP frameworks.
• Maintain documentation, confidentiality, and compliance with hospital policies and regulatory expectations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of a state-approved and/or accredited School of Nursing.
• Current license to practice professional nursing from the Massachusetts Board of Registration OR NCLEX registration documentation if not yet licensed.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain upon hire).
• 0–1 years of related work experience; new graduates encouraged to apply.
• Basic computer literacy and comfort with web-based clinical applications.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

• BSN preferred.
• Clinical experience/clinical rotations in medical-surgical or oncology settings a plus.

Compensation & Additional Details

• Pay Range: $37.00 - $37.00 per hour (base hourly wage)
  • This range is the employer's estimated base hourly wage for this role. Actual pay may vary based on experience, education, credentials, shift differentials, overtime, and other lawful factors.
• This role includes enrollment in a Nurse Residency Program during the first year; mentorship and competency evaluation are provided.
• Confidential Client requires seasonal influenza vaccination as a condition of employment, in line with its patient-safety policies.
