Role Overview
Confidential Client is seeking a Graduate Nurse - Baytown in Stewart Heights, TX. This is an entry-level, full-time nursing role designed for new nursing graduates. The position provides structured training, mentorship by experienced RNs, supervised clinical practice and opportunities to develop independent clinical judgment while delivering safe, compassionate patient care.
What You’ll Do
You will work under RN supervision to provide progressive nursing care for a diverse patient population. Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct nursing assessments and assist with exams, treatments and procedures
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses under supervision
- Provide patient and family education and plan for safe discharge
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Communicate and collaborate with physicians and the interprofessional care team
- Participate in unit-based quality, safety and patient satisfaction initiatives
- Identify learning needs and pursue continuing education and competency development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of Nursing preferred; Associates degree from an accredited school of Nursing may be considered
- Recent nursing graduates with clinical rotations in a hospital setting are encouraged to apply
- Zero years of professional RN experience required (entry-level)
Required Licenses & Certifications
- GN – Graduate Nurse Temporary state licensure through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (as applicable)
- BLS – Basic Life Support (AHA) or BLS Instructor (AHA)
Skills & Abilities
- Demonstrates baseline clinical skills and a commitment to gaining competency through ongoing assessments and training
- Proficient in spoken and written English sufficient to perform essential job duties safely
- Effective therapeutic communication and patient education skills
- Time management, prioritization and basic critical thinking consistent with initial RN practice
- Ability to collaborate respectfully with the care team and accept coaching and feedback
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and basic Microsoft Office tools
