What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join their building services team in South Boston. In this entry-level role you will gain hands‑on HVAC design experience on real projects that advance sustainability and the built environment.

• Embrace and apply current technologies to improve building performance and sustainability
• Perform detailed HVAC engineering and building services design
• Run HVAC calculations using industry-standard software and tools
• Prepare technical drawings, flow diagrams, schedules, and engineering reports
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and senior engineers to deliver project milestones
• Help ensure work is completed to high quality standards, on time and within budget

Skills & Experience

We welcome early‑career candidates and recent graduates. Strong candidates will typically have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering (or closely related engineering degree such as Civil or Environmental)
• Coursework or hands-on experience in HVAC design, heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid hydraulics/dynamics
• Familiarity with BIM modelling software (Revit, AutoCAD) and interest in model-based workflows
• Exposure to HVAC load-modelling or calculation tools is a plus
• Internship or relevant engineering experience preferred but not required
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for technical topics
• A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn on multidisciplinary project teams
