Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Engineer to support water and related infrastructure projects in Lake Dallas, TX. This role is ideal for recent engineering graduates who want hands-on experience preparing Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), technical deliverables, and recommendations for instrumentation and equipment selection while working with experienced project teams.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to engineering deliverables, including P&IDs, engineering specifications, reports, and technical evaluations.
• Support instrumentation and equipment selection through routine research and analysis.
• Follow department design guides, applicable engineering codes, and Confidential Client policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with project teams to share design information and decisions.
• Track scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements under the company quality program.
• Learn from senior engineers and progressively take on more complex tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply basic engineering principles to complete assigned tasks under close supervision.
• Prepare and revise Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and associated documentation.
• Assist with engineering specifications and technical studies.
• Perform routine constructability and design checks.
• Communicate clearly with internal project teams and support accurate handoffs.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to project quality requirements.

• Familiarity with company quality programs or QA/QC processes

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program (or equivalent recognized program).
• Ability to complete pre-employment checks where permitted by law (criminal/civil background check, drug screen, motor vehicle records, etc.).
• Authorization to work in the U.S. as required by law (Confidential Client does not indicate visa sponsorship for this posting).

Work Environment & Schedule

• Role is based in Lake Dallas, TX. Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days depending on manager discretion, job performance, and assignment needs.
• You will work on project teams supporting water treatment and related infrastructure; occasional site or client visits may be required.

Compensation

• In accordance with local law for this requisition, the applicable compensation range is $19.69 - $26.25 per hour.
