Position summary
Confidential Client is seeking a Graduate FPGA Engineer (2027 start) to design and accelerate low-latency, high-performance hardware for production trading systems. This role is ideal for a graduating student with hands-on FPGA or ASIC digital design experience who wants to work on nanosecond-scale systems in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
What You’ll Do
- Accelerate network infrastructure and trading system components using high-speed FPGA hardware designs.
- Research low-latency techniques and platforms and identify opportunities to integrate them into production systems.
- Collaborate closely with traders, software developers, and infrastructure engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Interface FPGAs with modern server hardware — use best-in-class components or develop in-house solutions when needed.
Onboarding
- Participate in an intensive Global Academy during your first eight weeks to learn trading theory, the tech stack, and role-specific workflows.
- Be paired with a dedicated mentor to help you take ownership of tasks and ramp quickly into impactful work.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $200,000 — $200,000 USD (expected)
- Eligible for a discretionary bonus and participation in a global profit-sharing pool

Who You Are
- A student pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- On track to graduate between December 2026 and June 2027
- Strong engineering instincts with hands-on digital design experience on FPGAs or ASICs
- Experienced writing hardware description languages such as VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog
- Passionate about clean design, well-architected systems, and continuous improvement
- A collaborative teammate comfortable working across technical and business disciplines
