What You’ll Do

This entry-level role is a hands-on field engineering position supporting deployment, testing, and maintenance of hardware subsystems. You will execute on-site inspections and field tests, collect and log regional performance metrics, troubleshoot hardware, and produce clear technical reports and client-facing updates.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections, data collection, and system / field testing
• Log and maintain regional performance metrics and dashboards
• Perform hardware troubleshooting and system-level testing
• Produce accurate technical documentation, test reports, and status updates
• Translate technical updates into clear recommendations for internal teams and clients
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on field operations and data analysis
• Provide responsive client communication on technical issues and field support

Qualifications

• Recent Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or closely related technical field
• Experience (academic, internship, or professional) with field testing, on-site inspections, or data collection
• Familiarity with hardware subsystems and hardware troubleshooting techniques
• Strong technical communication and technical reporting skills
• Ability to work both collaboratively in teams and independently in field settings
• Excellent organizational skills and practical problem-solving ability
• Basic scripting (Python, Bash, or similar) is a plus

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

• Prior field service or field engineering exposure
• Experience with performance monitoring tools or logging systems
• Comfort with regular regional travel and working at client field sites

Location & Travel

This position is based in Impact, TX. The role requires frequent regional travel to field sites and readiness to provide on-site technical support.

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated salary (from source): $60,039 per year (estimated). Actual pay and benefits will be provided by the Confidential Client and may vary based on experience and location.
