Job Summary

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Structural Engineer (Transmission Line) based in Ann Arbor, MI. This role is an excellent fit for recent engineering graduates or early-career engineers who want hands-on experience on transmission-line projects, exposure to engineering standards and design, and a structured development path. Relocation assistance to Ann Arbor may be available.


What You’ll Do

As a Graduate/Entry-Level Structural (Transmission Line) Engineer you will contribute to real-world projects by supporting design, deliverables, and project teams. Responsibilities include:

  • Develop familiarity with departmental design guides, standards, engineering codes, and client procedures
  • Prepare and support engineering deliverables such as drawings, reports, specifications, and limited-scope studies
  • Perform routine research and recommend equipment or materials selections
  • Collect, organize, and manage engineering data and documentation
  • Prepare basic engineering calculations using standard methods and principles
  • Support adherence to budget, schedule, and quality requirements
  • Share information and coordinate with team members and project leadership as directed
  • Support business development or pursuit activities when needed
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and quality program activities
  • Share knowledge of current technologies and processes with the team

    • Basic understanding of construction practices and constructability principles
    • Familiarity with quality programs and continuous-improvement practices

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (structural, civil, or related discipline) from an accredited program
  • Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include background checks, drug screening, and motor vehicle record checks as permitted by law
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. as required by the client (visa sponsorship is not available per the client)

Work Environment & Schedule

  • This position is based in Ann Arbor, MI. Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days at manager discretion, based on performance and job requirements.
  • Typical engineering office environment with occasional field visits as required by projects.

Compensation

In accordance with local law, the annual compensation range for this role in Ann Arbor, MI is:

  • $80,000.00 - $91,343.00 per year
