Position overview
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Graduate Engineer – Structural to join a collaborative structural team focused on municipal and infrastructure projects. This role offers hands-on experience from concept through construction on public buildings, water/wastewater facilities, waterfront structures, parks, and storage/tank structures. Ideal for a recent civil/structural engineering graduate pursuing Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with structural design and analysis for buildings and infrastructure.
- Support projects for municipal facilities, water/wastewater plants, waterfront and marine structures, parks and recreation amenities, and storage/tank structures.
- Perform engineering calculations and prepare construction documents under licensed engineer supervision.
- Use structural analysis tools and BIM/CADD platforms to develop models and drawings.
- Help prepare technical reports, specifications, and engineering studies.
- Participate in field investigations, condition assessments, and construction observation.
- Review shop drawings, respond to contractor questions, and document field conditions.
- Coordinate with civil, transportation, mechanical, electrical, and environmental teams.
- Attend project meetings and interact with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies alongside senior staff.

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis) or related ABET-accredited program.
- Foundational understanding of structural engineering principles and building systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with structural analysis, BIM, or CADD tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively and manage multiple assignments in a team environment.
Preferred
- Internship or co-op experience in structural engineering or consulting.
- Exposure to Revit, AutoCAD, RISA, RAM, STAAD, SAP2000, or similar tools.
- Interest in municipal, industrial, or infrastructure-related building design.
- EIT certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
Compensation & benefits
- Compensation range: $62,000 to $100,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
