Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Structural Engineer (Power) to join an early-career EDGE rotational program based in Barton Hills / Ann Arbor, MI. This full-time role is part of a multi-year development track that rotates participants through several project and field assignments to accelerate technical and leadership growth. Relocation assistance is eligible; visa sponsorship is not available.
What You’ll Do
- Develop familiarity with departmental design guides, engineering codes, and company policies, and apply them to project tasks
- Support preparation of engineering deliverables such as drawings, reports, specifications, and limited-scope studies
- Perform routine research and make recommendations for equipment and materials selection
- Collect, organize, and manage engineering data for analyses and deliverables
- Prepare basic engineering calculations using standard methods and principles
- Work within budget, schedule, and quality requirements and support continuous improvement efforts
- Share information and coordinate with project team members as directed by supervisors
- Support internal client needs and, where appropriate, assist with business development or pursuit activities
Preferred Qualifications
- Learning on the fly and strong problem solving skills
- Intellectual horsepower and written communication skills
- Drive for results, strong listening, and the ability to inform others effectively
- Comfort dealing with ambiguity and adapting to changing assignments
- Basic knowledge of engineering design principles, construction and constructability practices
- Familiarity with industry trends and company quality programs
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program
- Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding which may include criminal/civil background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle records search in compliance with applicable laws
Work Environment & Benefits
- Hybrid or flexible work options may be available after the first 90 days based on manager discretion and job needs
- Estimated annual pay: $82,799 per year (estimated)
- Benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, 401(k) match, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and eligibility for performance-based bonuses and ESOP participation where applicable
