What You’ll Do

As a Graduate Engineer II — Land Development (Confidential Client) you will work on entry-level professional engineering assignments under close supervision. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for designing specific system components for the overall land development design effort
  • Perform design calculations and prepare equipment/material specifications
  • Provide direction to technical support or drafting personnel as needed
  • Investigate project variables and coordinate additional information with internal stakeholders
  • Apply prescribed methods to complete defined portions of broader engineering assignments
  • Adjust and correlate data, recognize discrepancies, and follow through multi-step processes
  • Make basic decisions about alternative procedures when information is not provided
  • Participate in field work, site visits, and coordination with permitting or client teams as required

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  • EIT (Engineer-in-Training) license required
  • Minimum 2 years of land development experience (site design, grading, drainage, utilities, or similar)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across project teams
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn under senior engineer mentorship

Preferred Skills (if applicable)

  • Familiarity with civil/site design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar)
  • Experience with municipal permitting and plan submittal processes
  • Practical exposure to construction observation or coordination with contractors

Compensation & Location

  • Location: Houston, TX (on-site / local office)
  • Employment type: Full-time
  • Estimated annual pay (from source): $97,417 per year — estimated (do not rely on this as a guaranteed salary; final compensation is set by the Confidential Client and may vary based on experience and location)
