Overview
Confidential Client is seeking motivated early-career engineers for the Graduate Engineer Accelerated Rotational Program (GEAR) — a two-year, technically focused rotational program designed to develop engineering talent for manufacturing and product development in the MedTech / medical devices space. This onsite program includes multi-site rotations that provide hands-on experience in process development, manufacturing operations, and product lifecycle support.
What You’ll Do
The GEAR program places you in meaningful, project-driven assignments across Ethicon franchises to help build technical depth and leadership capability.
- Participate in rotational assignments aligned to technical curricula (process & assembly automation, packaging automation, component development, chemical/fiber/wire processing)
- Support process design, development, and implementation at manufacturing sites
- Provide manufacturing operations support and drive operations improvements
- Contribute to site improvement initiatives (construction/installation for new manufacturing technologies)
- Assist with lifecycle management of existing products in cross-functional teams
- Apply project management and continuous improvement tools (lean, Six Sigma, design excellence)
Program Structure & Benefits
- Two-year rotational program with guaranteed on-site assignments (minimum 8 months, up to 16 months at an Ethicon manufacturing site)

Who We’re Looking For (Minimum Qualifications)
To be considered, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. at the time of application and not require future sponsorship (CPT/OPT/STEM OPT holders who will require future sponsorship are not eligible)
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in an engineering-related field expected between July 2026 and June 2027
- At least 3 months of relevant work experience (co-op, internship, or post-graduate employment counts)
- Geographic flexibility over the course of the program (relocation and multi-site rotations possible)
- Available to begin full-time employment by the program start date (anticipated June 2027)
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong interest in a technical engineering career track
- Demonstrated leadership and technical problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab) or equivalent
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (including MS Project) and familiarity with project management fundamentals
Location & Work Model
This is an onsite program with roles available at multiple U.S. locations (examples include Athens, GA; Cornelia, GA; Cincinnati, OH; San Angelo, TX; Raritan, NJ; Santa Clara, CA). Compensation & Benefits
- Anticipated base pay (as listed by the client): $87,800.00 per year
- Eligible for annual performance-based bonus and, where applicable, sign-on or early incentive bonuses
