About the Role

Confidential Client is hiring for the Graduate Engineer Accelerated Rotational Program (GEAR) — Puerto Rico cohort. GEAR is a two-year, entry-level rotational program designed to develop technical leaders in manufacturing and process engineering within the medical device space. This is an onsite role located in Puerto Rico.

• Estimated salary: $87,245 per year (reported/estimated)
• Employment type: Full-time (contract designation appears in source; program is full-time)
• Program start: Eligible to begin full-time employment by the assigned start date (June 2027 per source)

Program Components

• Build technical depth through targeted technical curriculums which may include:
  • Process & assembly automation
  • Packaging automation
  • Component development
  • Chemical, fiber, and wire processing
• Guaranteed site experience: minimum 8 months (maximum 16 months) at a manufacturing site
• On-the-job experience plus technical, leadership and personal development training
• Rotational assignments across North America / US sites that deliver measurable business results
• Exposure to multiple product families and manufacturing processes
• Global networking and virtual collaboration with peers across locations
• Training in process development, manufacturing operations, quality & regulatory compliance, project management, and improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean, Design Excellence)

What You’ll Do / Responsibilities

• Execute assignments within an assigned technical curriculum based on business needs and project priority
  • Example assignments: process design, development and implementation; manufacturing operations support; manufacturing improvements; construction/installation support for new technologies; lifecycle management for existing products
• Demonstrate leadership imperatives and take ownership of project outcomes
• Learn and apply technical and problem‑solving skills on live manufacturing projects
• Support transitions between rotational assignments and provide feedback on program effectiveness
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, R&D, manufacturing, quality and suppliers

Qualifications / Requirements

• Permanent authorization to work in the U.S.; must not require employment sponsorship now or in the future (CPT/OPT/STEM OPT typically do not meet this requirement)

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering-related field to be obtained between July 2026 and June 2027

• Minimum of 3 months of work experience (including co-op, internship or post-graduate employment)

• Geographic flexibility over the course of the program (rotations and final placement may require relocation)

• Eligible to begin full-time employment by the assigned start date (June 2027 per source)

• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

• Strong interest in cross-functional / cross-franchise engineering assignments

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Passion for a technical engineering career track
• Demonstrated leadership and technical problem-solving skills
• Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab or equivalent)
• Proficiency in MS Office (including MS Project)
• Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean)
