The Opportunity
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Electrical Engineer focused on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in Englewood, CO. This role is ideal for recent engineering graduates or early-career engineers who want hands-on experience with power systems, transformers, motors, and renewable energy integration on BESS projects. Relocation assistance may be available.
What You’ll Do
- Contribute to preparation of engineering deliverables such as drawings, specifications, reports, and limited-scope studies.
- Perform routine research and recommend equipment and materials for BESS and power delivery systems.
- Collect, manage, and analyze engineering data to support design and project requirements.
- Prepare basic engineering calculations following established methods and departmental standards.
- Apply departmental design guides, engineering codes, and Confidential Client policies.
- Support quality and continuous improvement initiatives; follow change-management processes.
- Coordinate with project team members and share information as directed by supervisors.
- Support internal project team needs and, occasionally, business development or pursuit activities.
- Share knowledge of current technologies and industry trends related to BESS and power systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Coursework or hands-on knowledge in power systems, three-phase power calculations, transformers, motors, renewable energy, or power delivery.
- Previous engineering internship or relevant project experience.
- Basic understanding of engineering design principles, codes, and standards.
- Familiarity with construction practices and project delivery.
- Strong problem-solving, written communication, and teamwork skills.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (where applicable).
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program (or equivalent recognized program).
- Ability to complete pre-employment checks (background, drug screen, driving record) where required and in compliance with applicable laws.
Work Environment & Benefits

Compensation
In accordance with local law for this Englewood, CO position, the annual salary range is:
- $93,500 — $99,194 per year
This range is provided to comply with pay-transparency requirements; actual compensation will depend on experience and qualifications.
